Anna Tikhomirova was born in Moscow in a ballet family in 1988. She had first ballet classes in England where she lived with her family. Since her young ages, she dreamt to dance «Kitri» in the famous ballet «Don Quixote». The ballerina got a nickname «crazy mosquito» due to her irrepressible energy.
Anna Tikhomirova made her debut when she was 6 years old in the ballet on the stage of Kremlin's State Palace. It was a brilliant performance, the audience gave a standing ovation to Anna. That moment was decisive: the girl realized that a ballet was her destiny.
In 2005, she graduated from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy (class of Natalia Arkhipova) and joined the Bolshoi Theatre corps de ballet. Anna danced in the corps de ballet for 5 years, training and improving her technique. Her efforts have not been lost, and now Anna is the First Soloist, performing the best variations in famous ballets and has extensive repertoire including leading roles.
A talented performance of the artist can be seen in «Swan Lake», where she showed the dance of three swans and «Neapolitan princess». Also she played memorable «Effie» in «Sylphide» and «Kitri» in «Don Quixote». She has performed in many different countries including USA, UK, France, Italy, Japan, Spain. Annually she conducts master-classes in ballet schools of Los Angeles.
This fragile woman successfully combines family responsibilities and work, freedom and discipline. In 2016 she got married to her theater partner Artem Ovcharenko who is Principal Dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet, had a baby named Arianna and returned to the stage in 5 months after maternity leave. Young, ambitious and talented, they found each other and both are happy in personal life and on the stage.
