ANTHONY MMESOMA MADU LIVE YOUR DREAM AMBASSADOR |
| The idea of this project grew from an additional Diversity Search to NGgeneration worldwide program, that unites talented young dancers. Due to the #blacklivesmatter movement arousal, Nikolay Grishko decided to make an additional search for dark skin toned dancers. Three additional places to the campaign were set. Two places were given to the USA dancers Charlotte Felicity Blake from Florida and Maya Rogers from Michigan. The third place of #NGDiversitySearch was given to Anthony, the boy, who is dancing to his dream, even don't have all the ballet essentials. The place was given out of the competition as we believe that his dedication to dance says right as our the slogan of the brand: LIVE YOUR DREAM! Anthony lives his dream and Nikolay Grishko brands’ team will support him and show his fascinating story through the LIVE ballet classes and other events.

FERNANDO MONTANO BRAND AMBASSADOR |

"Everyone in life has dreams and why not try to make them come true even though it may seem impossible to achieve.
I will try to be the best mentor I can for young Anthony. When I first saw the video of him dancing, it reminded me of how I started ballet, as I was in a similar situation in Colombia. Fortunately, my talent and passion helped me to become a professional dancer, but also my principles and values led to the award of a Doctorate of the Arts - Honoris Causa from the University of Bath, based on my humanitarian work and artistic achievements. Even though at times throughout my artistic career I have been told that I don’t have classical lines, that I am 'wild', and that I don’t 'fit in', I believe that in overcoming these challenges, I can use this experience and my professional network to help him, too, to become the best version of the dancer and person he can be.
I sincerely wish Anthony all the best in this wonderful adventure he is just starting." - says Fernando Montano. |

My name is Daniel Owoseni Ajala creative director of Leap of dance academy Lagos Nigeria. Ballet has been my first love since I watched the movie called "save the last dance" I was in year 9 then and after that I chose to do ballet because of the uniqueness of the art. leap of dance academy was founded on the 9th of September 2017, with the aim of giving children who cannot afford the luxury of dance education, since our inception we have become one of the very few Vocational ballets school in Nigeria giving us the opportunity to receive international standard certification and partnership.
Currently we are the only certified school in acrobaticarts here Nigeria and first Alixa flexibility certified instructors amongst others. I grew up from a very humble Christian home I guess what's why influenced me to teach dance for free. I am a graduate of business administration. It's been a very humbling experience to have the kind of background I had. Discipline and dedication.Yes just basic knowledge until I met very amazing partners

My earlier background was in dance before I started was self trained. Initially they weren't in support as most Nigerian parents wants there kids to be Bankers lawyers or doctors. It was tough but I knew what I wanted to be.
6.Its still a growing process as most of the people here still feel it's a foreign craft and we should embrace our own Culture which we have not deviated from. We are still in the process of orientating them. The major challenge is currently having a studio of our own and that's majorly what is our challenge, with this we can train our kinda in a suitable space where they would be fit for international standards. I feel there's a link because ballet has revolved and every country has been able to interprete it to their own culture. Who are my role models. My role is my self because I draw strength from my experience. I would like to be myself because I am a goal getting individual. Looking forward to seeing my kids on the International stage bringing more awareness of ballet in Nigeria.
Thank you. |
